Pham Cong Minh vs. Tran Quoc Toan
Throughout 3 fights at the LION Championship 2023, no opponent has been able to stand even one round against Pham Cong Minh. The former world runner-up of Tan Thu defeated Cao Viet Anh, Hoang Tran Minh Hieu and Ngo Hong Giang to advance straight to the title match. The representative of WUSHU KING Club is the owner of the fastest victory in LION Championship – 15 second.
Soon to be named in the finals, Tran Quoc Toan did not let that go. At the national strong team Wushu championship that just ended a few days ago, the boxer from Tuyen Quang won the Gold Medal in the 85kg category. Previously, Vietnam Fight Club’s rooster had two matches against Luong Minh Canh (LION Championship 2022) and Pham Hung Hai (LC06).
While Cong Minh performed many mid-range and high-range leg kicks, Quoc Toan chose low kicks. The advantage of height and arm span helped the representative of Wushu King proactively control the attack distance.
In the second half, Cong Minh was still very proactive in using hand and foot attack combinations while the opponent sought to narrow the gap in performing hand attacks. It must be added that Tran Quoc Toan was really stubborn in defense, especially especially for knee strikes at the end of the round.
In the first minute of the third round, Cong Minh successfully knocked down Quoc Toan and performed Ground and Pound, the match ended at 57 seconds of the third round.
